Dr. Allen Adair Kirk was born on November 6, 1923 in Dorena, Oregon to Emmit and Fern Kirk. He passed away at his home in Portland, Oregon on April 25, 2017.



A United States Army WWII Veteran, Allen received an honorable discharge in 1946 and achieved the rank of First Lieutenant. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, and European, African, Middle Eastern Campaign Medal.

Allen married Betty Jane Weinmaster August 2, 1952 in Eugene, OR. Allen received his Doctorate of music, and was an accomplished musician. He also worked as a local Land Developer. Allen was a member of First Congregational Church, a Mason, and a member of Shriner’s International.



Preceding Allen in death is his wife, Betty.



He leaves to cherish his memory: His son, Gerald "Gerry" Kirk; One grandson Aaron (Stephanie); and great-grandchildren Zachri and Dante.
